Can you please tell me what you think of each of these nicknames, and which one you would choose?

-- Leonardo: Handsome & not very commonly used name. I love how it sounds. 8/10

-- Leony: It's interesting, but not my taste. It reminds me of the German feminine name "Leonie". 4/10

-- Leon: Handsome & older sounding. If you're going for an "older, classic feel" then I would suggest Leon. 9/10

-- Leo: Handsome, a bit more modern feel, but still classic. I love this one the best. This one is my favorite & the one I would use personally. 9/10

If these nicknames are for your child though, I think that at the end of the day their nickname should be their choice.

I would use Leo, its cute, friendly but masculine and interesting. Leon is a good one too, I like it, but this is used as a full name and I think of it as such. I'm sure people are called Leo but it sounds more like a nickname to me. Leony is not accessible as a nickname, it's just a little clunky. Leo is far better than Leony.

I hate them because I was raped by a guy with the name Leo. But Leon is really cute.
