seriously, that's a HUGE question... and not many people will be knowledgeable about all three (for example, I have several piercings, but no tattoos). You're just going to get sarcastic answers to this question, or answers saying exactly the same as me.
Break this up into smaller questions, or at least tell us what you want to know. I'm not sure about 'scarification', but in piercings and tattoos there's a few major considerations:
-the location of the piercing/tattoo
-how much it costs
-the material (for piercings) or the different kinds of ink (for tattoos - by this I mean, black and white, coloured, UV)
-the healing time
-the social reaction towards that particular piercing/tattoo
-the reasons for getting it
-the appropriate age for getting a tattoo, or a specific piercing
the list goes on!
so basically, structure your questions correctly, and you'll get worthwhile answers. This question is practically like saying "tell me everything I need to know about animals!"...like what?!

Rightly or wrongly, many people who own and manage businesses find that the presence of employees with tattoos and piercings is bad for business -- some customers are scared, and others think they are indications of the drug culture. Some will hire tattooed and pierced people only if they are completely covered up at all times while on the job. Others -- major corporations -- will not hire anybody with any tattoo or piercing anywhere on the body, and the way they do that is to invite the final candidate and spouse, if any, to an "executive weekend" with tennis, swimming, and even sauna. And they look. Things will probably change, but right now people who get tattoos and piercings are limiting themselves professionally in many, many fields, as well as eliminating themselves from access to many entry-level jobs all across the job spectrum, and they should know that before they proceed. It is NOT unlawful discrimination to refuse to hire people with tattoos and piercings.

They hurt at first, they're for life, and in my opinion it's totally worth it.
