well piercing is easy...its a needle going into the skin and out of the other side,jewelry is placed in it.There are dermal piercings now,where they implant a anchor in your skin and you can change out the ball(jewelry) thats in it

as fars as a tattoo goes,someone give the artist a design and then he will stencil it out,trace it our just go right into freehand of what you want.THe process is fairly simple,you would use one or many needles in a configuration to prick/pierce the skin while a ink is on the tip in the tube or however ur getting it done....but basically you get stabbed repeatedly all at the same time ink is there so i goes into the skine...there are many machines out there different needles...many many inks...and many techniques to doin it

scarification is basically cutting chunks of the skin out is a design form...youcould also burn it,but this woudl be branding
