Dog House Recomendation?
I need a 2 large dog houses for my dogs, both 90lbs. I am moving from Kansas where they are inside only dogs to Texas where they have to be outside only. I am willing to spend about $300 total. I want something GOOD, that will last and keep my dogs safe from the elements. We will be moving there during winter.
Any experience with a dog house you LOVED? And what did you HATE? Why? Help!
Thank you! :)

Stay away from anything that is plastic made or hard PVC, They arent very warm, Try and get a wooden kennel they hold the heat alot better in the winter months, Try and get a dog kennel that has legs or is risen off the ground a little this stops the cold from going up through them from the ground. Treat the wooden kennel with a wood treatment to stop it from rotting in the bad weather if you decide on one.

I made dog houses out of straw bales.
Here are some sites that will give you instructions on how to do it.

I did not plaster mine & they have lasted for 3 years. I made a duplex & my dogs use them years round.
I changed the search words around & come up with these sites.

I plan on moving them next year & plastering them so they will last. Also just wanted you to know that the Wolf Ranch Rescue here uses these straw bale dog houses for their Wolves, too. So I know they will be big enough for your dogs.
Once you get the idea you can do the lay out any way you want it.
