Does anyone have Hughes Net?

Where we live we can't get highspeed internet. We may look into Hughes Net. We wanted to know how fast their download speed is? Is it faster than dial up? In your opinion is it worth getting?

It is better than dial up but after 2 years we switched to verizon air cards and like them much better.

You have a Bandwidth limit which means if you do any downloading it will be stopped... only 200MB every day

I suggest looking into cellular internet if it's available in your area. As a former installer/customer, if you're looking for more than e-mail and/or light surfing Hughes Net not cost effective for what you get and can be a real ***** to set up for home networking.

It's pretty slow, but if you can't get cable, DSL, or 3/4G, then it's better than dial-up.
