Are there any good books I could read for my book report?

Umm, so yeah for English I've got to do a Book Report, and I wanna read a book that I find interesting, and not just any typical book that I know would bore me :| And if I find a book that I like and find interesting, then I would be more motivated to read it, and if it werent I'd be kinda lazy about it, and so i just really wanna find a good interesting book. :] So any recomendations? :)

I'm in 10th Grade, but I'm actually still 14 so nothing too complicated for me to understand, or too baby-ish for me to read.

I'm kinda picky about my books. I dont really read books about things too unreal, such as books about fairys, and pixies, monsters, and vammpires and what not, it just seems too unrealistic for me :))

I like books that are more close to real life, but with an interesting story. Which is why I'm so picky about my books, it's because it's hard to find realistic sounding books with interesting stories. Some of the past books I've read for book reports and I enjoyed reading were: To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger, Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, and Bright Shiny Morning by James Frey.

Umm actually Lovely Bones has some supernatural things too it, but it was a book that taught me a life lesson, and it was different from other books. ^_^

The books listed there, have something special about them but i dont know what :p, but you would probably know if you've read 'em all.

All those books are realistic, not like they are true stories, but they have realistic situations, and could happen in life know what i mean? They are just awesome :)

Sorry this was so long, but i just really wanted to find an interesting book to read ^-^ And it would be much appreciated if this question was answered thankyou!

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher is a great (and realistic) book about a girl who committed suicide and leaves tapes to explain why she did it.

The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton is a classic which I really enjoyed, although it's a little removed from the real world.

And something a little more mature, I don't know if it's too mature for a fourteen year old, is Living Dead Girl by Elizabeth Scott. It's about a girl who got kidnapped years ago and still lives with her kidnapper. I always find it a little disturbing, but in a way that's good, because it makes you think about it.

Oh my gosh, you would LOVE "The Summer I Turned Pretty." I'm 14 too and loved this book. It's romance, but really realistic and not at all sappy like twilight. It's mature and compelling and would make a great book report. Plus if you are a writer it'll give you a lot of ideas. For an added plus it has a beautiful cover (: haha. GL! I hope you choose this one.

EDIT: I have to say "girl with the dragon tattoo" is pretty amazing also. I loved that one!

Tomorrow when the war began by John Marsden. There are seven in the series but you could just do the first one. They are AMAZING books, not unrealistic and very interesting. You won't be able to put it down!
