Media Player & Windows 7?

Have an HP desktop, Quad Core 64 bit, 4GB Ram 1 TB HD. Originally came with Vista, Just upgraded to Win 7. having issues with media player & VLC when watching Dvix. The picture freezes then continues playing, like it is buffering. I tried just upgrading to Win7 & a complete reformat with a fresh Win 7 install, no difference. I installed the Win 7 drivers for my video card & other hardware. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Just do two things--Reinstall and scan and fix system errors with reginout. You will be done with your issue.
