Should dvd players ever need to replaced just from normal use?

I use my dvd player a lot. Is on hours a day. Is about 2 yrs old. Nice good brand player though. I clean the head once every month or two. It just seems to pick up a lot more scratches and stuff now. Was wondering if this normal or a sign that it is worn out and needs to be replaced.

Yes, it will need to be replace down the road. Parts will get worn out. Most manufacturers have stopped making stand alone dvd player, due to the blu ray disc player also plays the dvd. Hope this will help you out.
