Are you combining two chords? I see this on some music and it's written as a D for everyone (the other musicians) and the F# is for the bass player.
How does the song sound when you play only a D? If it sounds okay skip the F#. If you need the F# flip to it after to play your D. Or play only the F#.
You prob. already have a chord chart but here's one I like.
