Jobs are plentiful compared to the rest of the world at present but the main thing to look into is visa eligibility. It is worth coming for a holiday first. I always miss family when i am living in other countries. I have referenced below information abut visas and working in Australia.

either you or your partner must be formally skilled and experienced in an occupation listed on the skilled occupation list,pass the points test .medical and character check.this site will show you everything you need to know

I would go and visit the place first if you have not already done so. It is certainly a beautiful place to visit.
