    Salaam

    Thanks for sharing and Amen

    I have seen pious Muslims weeping whilst bidding farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan.

    May Allah accept our efforts for fasing & offering salat. Amen :)

    I'll miss my husband actually being grateful for the food I cook him!!!! Lol.

    Seriously... I'll miss how serious everyone became about religion. I'll miss how instead of watching shows of girls acting like skanks to be with some guy who isn't even worth it, or cartoons of a baby trying to kill his mother (don't et me wrong, i like tv as much as the next girl, though) we actually sat together as a family and listened to the Quran. I'll miss the feeling of satisfaction I would have after a day of fasting. And yes, okay, during a Ramadan I definitely did not miss my husband bieng picky on what I cooked!

    I will miss the general feeling of specialness this month has, everything we do is special. We have our whole house decorated for Ramadan and Eid. We enjoy a wonderful iftar dinner together as a family in a way we dont the rest of the year. We spend more time reading and studiying islam and reading special books to the children. We also just remember to spend more in charity and keep Islam at the forefront of our mind the entire month. It will be missed but i will try to keep the feelings and the habits for the whole year.

    I don't fast, but I know a lot of people that do & I just love the spirit, the spiritual feeling it gives to feel their strength, faith & believe. I'm amazed by that, i'm an atheist, but my family and some of my friends aren't.

    Oh and when I was in Turkey, I loved the morning wake ups with the davul (drum). (I miss my family there:))

    I'll miss my best friend the Ramadan spirit;

    And I have no idea if we will ever meet again...

    Once I saw a sufi oldie saying goodbye to his best friend as his tears dropped down his cheeks:

    ''How fast has time gone by;

    Oh my, oh my, oh my!..

    If ever to these mountains;

    Would such a friend come by?..''
