Why does Wikipedia allow an article about The Swingtips, but not about SEO 2.0?

Wikipedia apparently allows a subject to create an article about themselves, a swing band:

However, they will not allow an article about SEO 2.0, which is covered by multiple reliable sources and over 20,000 Google hits:

What would be the reason for that?

Why Wikipediots do anything is often a mystery, even though their response to this particular query is extremely predictable: WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. My best guess in this particular case is that Wikipediots like stories of little-known bands with some small claim to fame but dislike stories that are of interest to honest capitalists. They might also fear that good search engine optimization could reduce traffic to Wikipedia.

You are wrong to question the validity of Wikipedia's wise, holy admins. They are infallible, and if they have decided that the Swingtips are notable but SEO 2.0 is not, then that is the truth of it. Honestly accept the goodness of Wikipedia into your heart, and your ban might be rescinded.

They're waiting for the SEO 2.0.1 patch to come out.
