How do I start an online store?
Ok, I am trying to start an online. store. I would like to offer an OPTIONAL paid membership feature in which i can offfer specific discounts, coupon codes, also I would like a cart feature. I don't want to pay 12,500 per month. Someone referred me to website that could handle this, but it was 12,500 per month. I am in the start up stage so this woiuld not work for me. Is there a free website builder of template that I can use.

Doodlekit has a shopping cart tool you might try out. You would have to purchase their business plan ($29 a month) but they have a demo you can try out with the free plan. They also have a registration system built in where people can register to your website. You can then take that list and use it to do mass emails out with coupons or discounts. Might give it a try - its very affordable...

When you’re ready to start looking for website options, take a look at Microsoft Office Live Small Business to get started. When you sign up, you’ll get a free website, hosting and a fourth level domain. There are templates and web design tools to help you create a professional looking website without having to know code. There are also options for online payment such as PayPal.

Hi Kotie.
Great question - remember, just having a website is not a business
so learning 'how to' is critical.
I have been where you are and wow, so much frustration, information
overload and confusion.
I highly recommend a site I came across. A FREE step-by-step
video course.
Please enjoy with my best wishes
