CD/DVD Labelling Software for Windows 7?

Anybody know where I can get the latest CD/DVD labelling software that is specifically configured for Windows 7?

I don't want "compatible" software that was originally written for previous versions of Windows and is "patched" to run in Windows 7 - I have had bad experiences with other software in this respect where damage to operating system files has occurred.

So to be safe I only want Windows 7 configured software.

I would also prefer the software to be specific and "stand-alone" and not included with packages like Nero etc.

It would help if the labelling media (i.e. paper) is readily available too and is not too expensive.

Update:

Thanks Guys,

Metalman - would that be a standard part of Windows 7 Home Premium?

What do I type in to access this software and what paper/media do I use to print of the labels?

Kieran,

Pressit does not work well in Windows 7. I already have Pressit for an earlier version of Windows (XP) and there were problems with it then, to the extent that I had to uninstall it when I wasn't using it.

I have contacted the people who wrote Pressit - they said that so far there was nothing in the pipeline for Windows 7. They promised to get back to me, that was weeks ago - so I don't hold out much hope!

I really would give undercoverxp a try, it`s a brilliant cd/dvd labelling software.

Don`t be put off by the name, it is configured for Windows 7.

I`m on XP, but it is the best software I`ve found, it is free, but I found it so good that I made a donation.

    Here are some reviews.

    Version: UnderCoverXP 1.16

    "Fast, easy and effective!"

by Hampone on January 3, 2008

Pros: I usually don't comment but this software is just what I wanted. Easy to download with no spam and no gimmicks. 5 minutes after finding this gem I was printing out a long lost cd cover on regular paper! No special paper, no additional software, features or hardware. Just download, search using the builtin cd/dvd cover search engine or grab and drop your own right into the boxes on-screen! It even lets you choose to print on one page or two separate pages! Print on any type of paper you want. No need to have preformatted paper!

I am very happy I downloaded this software, Just what I was looking for without a lot of hassle!

    Cons: I can't find any!

"does all the jobs of the bigger setups without the cpu"

by spledem on March 7, 2010

    Pros: small and stable

    Cons: nothing not to like

Summary: this product could serve as a template for several other bloated apps which are just not necessary - well done undercover xp peoples!

Cdcovers,cc is a really good site for finding commercial cd and dvd covers.

It probably won't work, because the installer expects to find all of the files on a single disk. That's why Microsoft only offers it on DVDs, rather than offering a choice of a single DVD or multiple CDs.

try Pressit. It's free and has templates for most inline/offset sheets it even gives you the order codes in the templates so you can google shopping search for the ones you want :-)

    http://www.pressit.com/pressit_download.htm

Also it's standalone and works in windows 7.
