We should reconsider the outrageous subsidies paid to wind farms. If the wind is free, why do we pay more for electricity generated from the wind? It is because we are paying massive subsidies to the developers and operators of wind farms. The only justification for a wind farm is to make money out of us, relying on the dishonest assertion that it is saving the planet. It isn't! The CO2 saving from wind energy is pitifully small because it is so unreliable it needs conventional power stations to run in the background to provide back-up because the wind is so variable.
The public money wasted on wind farms dwarfs the entire cost of every MP put together.
Then we should completely cancel the subsidies paid to people who install solar panels. At present, WE pay them for every bit of electricity they produce but the really criminal aspects are that WE PAY THEM MORE THAN THE ELECTRICITY IS WORTH and WE PAY THEM EVEN IF THEY USE THE ELECTRICITY THEMSELVES!. That is unbelievably stupid. I've got a car and it costs me 50p per mile to run. Are you happy to pay me £1 per mile whenever I use it? Of course not. So why do we do this for owners of solar panels?
There is big money involved in the alternative energy scam. It needs to be cut hard and focused on where it will actually do some good - not lining the pockets of those who currently benefit from the scam.

1. the military. Cut it in half and it'd still be more than we need.
2. NASA..It's cool and all but there's nothing out there within our reach except big chunks of rock and ice.
3. The war on drugs. It costs billions and it obviously doesn't work. Meth should be our only concern anyway.
And, yes, congressman should be making no more than 60 thousand per year. This wouldn't exactly get us out of debt but it would keep greedy people out of office and make it more likely for sincere people to seek office.

Cutting out the continued pay for presidents after they leave office; Let congressmen and senators obtain their own insurance, equilvelant to citizens; Cut the aforementioneds pay when not in session, or at least in half; Broadcast all bills entered for lesgislation to the general public, so as to make them aware of any added 'waste' projects'; Have all bills openly read in session in congress and senate to make sure our representatives know what they are voting on; And allow the public to have time to voice their opinions to their reps. in order to control spending.
