You don't need to, but to be on the safe side, I have also got www.malwarebytes.net on mine, and i'm surprised sometimes how much crap it finds after my AV has supposedly done its job. ps it's free, and because I may need to do a quick scan from time to time it is handy having it on the desktop to be used manually.

Yes,you need anti-malware.Here are some suggestions that are free (I suggest you get 2 or 3):

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

    SUPERAntiSpyware

    IObit 360

Norton Power Eraser (you must be connected to the internet to use this utility)

    Spybot Search and Destroy

    Spyware Terminator

    Windows Defender

I used to suggest Ad-Aware too but they have added an anti-virus to the program and it will conflict with the anti-virus already installed on your PC.

You can download all these through CNET at http://www.download.com/

Download Malwarebytes and Combofix from a clean computer. Boot into safe mode no networking. Install and run each from there.
