Anyone thats ever bought a REFURBISHED computer/laptop?

Yes, I got a Dell refurbished from Dell outlet and I couldn't be happier! I got a very well stocked computer with bells a whistles I never would have order new. Plus, I got it a great price!

A year and a half later I am still happy!

With the exception to the aformentioned most reputable sources of purchase, Don't Do It. you never know who owned it, how it was treated, or what they did to it. there are all kinds of risks involved in buying computers redone especially online from strangers. The biggest but not the only risk obviously is that it will cease to function within weeks or months of your purchase and you are SOL. And i find that the discount on these refurbished products is rarely THAT enticing.... usually a used computer costs at least half of what it would cost to safely buy a new and temporarily warrantied computer at the store. This is especially true with high resale valued Macbooks.

I have. I was a laptop and it functioned perfectly and looked like new. The thing with refurbished items, is that they are tested to ensure that they work.

easily i'm the Director of IT for a enterprise that covers 3 states and all we do is purchase refurb / used structures. the rationalization being is for a pair of reasons. selection one being we ought to constantly purchase 5 used / refurb structures for what it may fee us for a million type new device.
