Actually in ancient times there was no such thing as race or "your own people" to be honest. The people that were sold into slavery were prisoners of war from different civilizations. Humanity started slavery not Africans. Also the Europeans were trading with Africa at the time and after awhile they first began to abduct Africans not buying them from other Africans. Some African leaders were against it and some were not. Why buy slaves when you can just steal them? After awhile the slaves were being sold to the Europeans, but this doesn't come off as a surprise because everyone sold their "own" people at one time. Instead the Europeans and Africans did not realize what an effect this would have on future generations. Europeans colonized Africa during a time when Africa had no centralized government. Europe wanted nothing to do with the middle east and China was secure because they had a strong government. So Africa was not colonized because they were inferior they were colonized because they were going through an unsteady time.

Before the selling of Africans, the Arabic people invaded and forced the Native Africans to convert to islam and Arabic ways of life. If the Africans refused, they were killed or enslaved. When the African converted, that person may have taken on Arabic ways of life, and that means, since the Arabs had slavery, that African might condone slavery too.

But don't get me wrong: we did NOT sell our own people

because when trying to direct the blame towards others, these whites always manage to leave out the most important information when talking about slavery and the involvement of africans in the trans-atlantic slave trade.

this video is simply amazing! i really think everyone should watch it, especially african americans, and quit listening to the lies that white people keep spilling. it's incredibly informative:

Groids try to claim that the Africans who sold the slaves didnt knowhow cruel the europeans would be. After all slaves in Africa had casual fridays, meatball mondays, 401k benefits, a gym with a sauna. People were screaming to be a slave in Africa.

  • A lot of people use that excuse, to try to make slavery seem "not that bad"...everyone was enslaved at one point and time...it's a horrible thing.

No one said other races didn't. It's just pathetic when Blacks try to blame Whites for enslaving them when in fact, they were sold.

They only sold slaves in the beginning, eventually when it became a big enough industry EVERYONE got sold.

Because most of us were taught by our schools and media that the evil Europeans kidnapped thousands of Black people who were peacefully living their lives.

Of course this is totally untrue and accounts for a lot of White guilt which is very damaging to society.

    Perfect example:
