Teens, what are your favourite beauty care products & how much do you spend per month?

I really love Lush but it's expensive. Most of my favourite products are out of my budget. I need to decide which ones are worth the money. What products are your favourite? How much do you spend per month on everything - face wash, shampoo, deoderant and everything you need? What's your daily routine? Like do you wash your hair every day, face morning and night, ect? How can you have really nice skin and keep to a budget? With just a splurge on a few things maybe.

I'm 25, so not exactly a teen anymore but I can still share my experience, can't I?

    - My favourite beauty product is my shampoo and conditionner. I use the Elvive range by L'Oreal. I've tried dozens and dozens of shampoos across the years and this is the best one I have ever ever used. Beautiful hair changes everything in a girl. If you have nice hair, the rest doesn't matter half as much.

    - The second thing you want is good skin. I am past the acne years thank God for that so now I use a daily scrub to get rid of dead skin cells.

+ a deodorant if you consider that a beauty product.

I guess this all cost me about 10 euro per month?

These are the only two types of beauty products I use regularly. Other than that I will wear make up and perfume when I go out. For the perfume I use Hypnose by Lancome. A bottle cost me 60 euro but I only use one or two per year.

As to make up. I wear a faint pink base just across the cheeks and nose to give a bit of natural colour. Very little of it because I like to keep my make up very natural. Then I have a dark circles concealer, chocolate brown eye shadow, mascara and eyeliner pencil. I also have gloss but rarely wear it because I hate the greasy feel of gloss on my lips. Last time I wore it was at my wedding just over a year ago. I bought all this before my wedding. It cost me around 150 euro as it was all high quality stuff. But as you can see I make it last since it's been a year now and none of these are anywhere near empty.

    As to beauty routine:

I wash my hair twice a week. DO NOT wash your hair every day, that only makes them greasier and lifeless. Your hair produces oils that clean it and makes it shiny. When you wash your hair, the chemicals in your shampoo destroy those oils and your hair no longer cleanses itself or remain shiny and healthy. So you should give your hair enough time to produce these oils in between shampoo. Every 3 or 4 days should be ok. I wash my face while in the shower in the morning. Nice skin on a budget, it depends how bad your skin is. If you don't have too bad an acne problem, a daily facial scrub and a moisturiser should be enough. Also don't wear any make up as this causes the pore to clog and makes acne worse. Restrict your make up to eye shadow and mascara and gloss if you have acne.

Also I own an electric epilator. It's the greatest method of hair removal I've done. I bought the epilator for 50 euro, which makes up very fast for the price of wax or hair removal cream and it works the best.

I blow my money on beauty products, but I make them last awhile, so it's *almost* worth it

I buy Enjoy shampoo (about 20 bucks a bottle). Love it. I usually use John Frieda or Healthysexyhair for my conditioner, which run 15-20 a bottle. My straightening/curling solution is Sebastian Trilliant, also about 20 a bottle

My face wash, moisturizer, and face makeup are bare escentuals, which is the worst thing I ever fell in love with. The makeup is pretty good, but I absolutely LOVE the face wash and moisturizer, which are each about 30 bucks. The makeup refills are about 20, I think.

My eye/lip makeup is usually just drugstore crap, never more than 10 bucks for an item. I really like the double ended mascaras, with one end of extensions, and the other end to put black over them.

St. Tropez is also nice to have a year-round glow. Its kind of pricey (40 bucks, but the bottle is big) but the tan doesn't look fake and it doesn't smell as awful as other fake tans.

    I <3 Remington straighteners

I will usually buy whatever whitening toothpaste looks good at the store, and I use mens speed stick (women's deodorant does nothing for me).

When my arm hair bothers me, I use a 4 dollar hair bleaching kit from Rite Aid, and use Sun-in with the blow dryer for touch ups.

I blow my money on Venus Embrace razors (16 for a 4 pack? RIP OFF) they don't irritate my skin, which I appreciate.

Source(s): Seeing how much I spend on trying to be pretty makes me feel kind of dumb. And ugly.

I don't really use beauty care products, just the basics.

I use Clean & Clear face wash, it's cheap and works well. It usually lasts me for a couple weeks at a time.

Shampoo - I use John Frieda for blondes, it's about $5 and lasts for at least a month.

Deodorant - I use Secret and it's around $8 because it's the clinical strength one.

I wash my hair almost everyday and my face every morning and then at night during my shower.

I use this face wash from my drugstore that's about $5 and every time I use it my skin looks amaaazing! I also use aloe vera on my skin. I don't really splurge on anything because I don't wear makeup or anything like that.

    hi (:

for face wash, I only use cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. I love it!

for shampoo, I use either Tresemme, Aveda, or Pantene. right now I'm using the Pantene for thick hair and I'm LOVING IT! makes my hair so shiny and soft!(: for deodorant i'm using lady speed stick 24hour protection in satin pear. it doesn't even smell like pear..I think it smells like watermelon, which is why I love it (:

I wash my hair everyday, yeah. if I don't, I feel dirty, seriously. I get staticy and my hair looks oily. and I wash my face in the shower every morning and at night before bed.

I have some stuff prescribed my a dermatologist called Differen 0.1% cream. works wonders! it was free with insurance, so check that out if you need to clear your skin up. it does take a month or 2 to work though, but it's definitely worth it! I'm also on antibiotics, my skin is perfectly clear now! (:

one of my favourite products is Moroccan Oil (: it's great for dry hair. I use it once per week.

how much do I spend per month? not much. most of my stuff lasts me for a month, sooooo yeah.

    hope this helped!

    please answer mine, it's important!

Lush is one of my favorite beauty supply stores, but I agree with you that many of the products there are pricey. I'm a fan of their face moisturizers, and the "Vanishing Cream" that I purchased in France last winter cost me about 30 euros, which is the equivalent of almost $40! It's much cheaper to buy in the US, so if you like their products enough, and have the means to, I'd definitely buy it at home. That being said, if you're an adolescent girl who gets the occasional blemish or has extremely sensitive / combination skin, the "Vanishing Cream" is superb. It's made from fruit and plant extracts, and is wonderfully softening. I've used face cleansers, hand lotions, and solid perfumes from Lush, and this product is most definitely my favorite.

My current beauty stock at the moment includes:

~ Face: I alternate between Cetaphil Facial Cleanser and M.D. Forte Replenishing Hydrating Cleanse. I prefer creamier-based face washes over gels or foam cleansers, and these two do wonders for my sensitive skin. You can buy Cetaphil for under $10 at any drugstore. I was prescribed the other one by a dermatologist, so I'm not sure how expensive it was, but the bottle lasts forever. I pair it with the sunscreen in spf 30 in the same brand. For the days when my skin breaks out, I use the combination of the cleanser, moisturizer, and spot treatment made by Burt's Bees Natural Acne Solutions, which costs less than $20. When I want to treat my face to something refreshing, I use Dr. Bronner's Organic Castile Soap in Peppermint that comes in a bar (under $5), and I finish with a homemade honey mask.

~ Hair: I have brown, naturally wavy hair that's incredibly low-maintenance, and the shampoo and conditioner set I've used for years is Herbal Essences in Hello Hydration. It smells delicious, and gives my hair a glossy, soft sheen. It's really the only hair product I use religiously. I've tried multiple shampoos by multiple brands and I always return to this one. A regular sized bottle costs around $3.

~ Deodorant: I like Secret deodorant in a few scents. It stays on for a long time and still smells nice. BAN is also good if you tend to move around a lot during the day. Both are under $5.

~ Lotion / body butter: I love The Body Shop's classic body butters in multiple scents, but they can be pricey, at almost $20 per large tin. It does last you a long time, though. The mango one is great for dry skin. I also like Victoria Secret's Love Spell, which should be around the same price. Holiday seasons are a great time for shopping for cosmetics.

That's about it. As for my routine, I wash my hair every day (shampoo and condition) before I sleep, and I might alternative the cleansers I use for morning and night. My number one tip for nice skin is completely free. I have incredibly sensitive skin that blemishes easily, and when I gave up dairy and wheat this summer, the majority of my spots disappeared. I also drank a few liters of water a day, and maintained an exercise routine. I like green and red tea, too.

If there's anything you decide to splurge on, it should be for your face, especially if your skin is sensitive!

    Good luck! : )

i lurve my paul mitchel super skinny serum. it makes my hair so shiny and soft and it makes it dry really fast (i have curly-wavy hair, so i let it air dry every morning). idk how much i spend every month beacuse i rotate products just to change up my hair and makeup every so often. but if i bought all of the product i have at once, it'd be well over $100-$200. luckily, that lasts me way more than a month. my daily routine.. when i wake up, i take a shower where every other day i'll either wash my hair(pantene curly hair dry-moisture shampoo) and then use a deep conditioning treatment (garnier fructis) on it or i'll just use a regular conditioner (same pantene stuff). i wash my face with clean & clear pore perfecting stuff everyday besides wednesdays & saturdays when i use an exfoliator. and then i'll shave & wash with bath & body works twilight woods.

then i'll get out and dry off and moisturize my face with clean & clear pore perfecting moisturizer, then i put twilight woods lotion on my legs. i squirt aussie hair insurance spray all over, comb it through andn fix my part. then i put in herbal essences leave in cream conditioner on just the ends of my hair, then the super skinny serum, then i little bit of garnier wonder waves spray. and i let it air dry.

my makeup changes everyday, but the most important is my photo-ready makeup and my falsies mascara. those are everyday products (:

and then before i go to bed, i take off my makeup with just makeup dissolving wipes, and i use a heavy moisturizer cause my skin can get really dry. and i use clinical strength something deodorant.

wow.. that's a alot of stuff right tharr :/
