Can FHP control color of light bar?

The LED light bars have dozens, of not hundreds of settings, and a few are usually chosen by the agency and pre set into the controls based on the type of area the bar will be used. Lightbar controls usually have several settings, one will activate just the rear facing lights, and the others will have different patterns which the officer can use depending on the situation.

My agency uses a strobe light bar with 4 mini LEDs. Our lightbars have three settings, one for the rear deck only, one for just the red and blue lights and one that activates all the lights, including the strobe lights in the headlights/taillights.

Those light bars are VLB (visible light bars), police are not in control over what color options are chosen, as you said, it's randomly picked, based on weather conditions. Most big cities/communities have these light bars on the cars. They are meant to NOT attract drunk drivers, but also be visible to the non impaired driver. Safety 1st!

At first,the led light bar must have two light color at least in the light bar for changing. The normal light bar is just with one white color. So that' nothing changed no matter what you add on it.
