How Many Christian Denominations Have Nuns?

There are nuns among all the rites that constitute the Western and Eastern churches, Latin Rite, Eastern Rites, and all the Orthodox Churches. I think the Anglicans are the only Protestants that have nuns.

Well, it was just too interesting and I couldn't resist looking into it.

First, there's a distinction between a "nun" and a "sister." Nuns are cloistered and are the equivalent of a monk. Sisters are out among the people. They even take different vows, according to Wikipedia.

Wikipedia says that there are some that are Lutheran and Calvanist, though they aren't organized into official orders. Episcopalians and Anglicans are the other two Protestant religions it names that have nuns/sisters. Then there are the Catholics and Orthodox.

Only Catholicism, as far as I know. I've never heard of nuns from any other Christian sect. I have heard of Buddhist nuns in feudal Japan. I don't know if they still exist today; perhaps someone else can fill in that particular blank?
