Can somebody please help me with my dog?
I recently noticed a pink irritation on my dogs right nostril. I didn't think it was a big deal. He has had it for about 4 days now. He loves to get his snout where it doesn't belong. Anyway, I took a look at it today and I looked inside the nostril and saw the outside wall was swollen and pink. It doesn't seem to bother him much however it is bothering me. Does anybody know what might be wrong?

It may just be irritation from something he may have been poking around in. I would recommend seeing a vet though, just to ensure that the irritation doesn't get infected/turn out to be an infection. If there are no other symptoms like excessive bleeding or mucous (not nasal mucous, mucous emerging from the swollen area) then it doesn't sound like anything serious. Even going to the pet store and asking somebody that works there what you should buy to help your dog might be a good idea. Good luck!

Could be anything from an allergic reaction to a bite from an insect or animal. I suggest taking him to the vet. If he does become irritated you may want to try some Benedryl. However, I wouldn't use the kind you ingest, try the liquid kind that you rub on.
