Why the fiddle made of gold?
In the song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", is there a reason the Devil bet a golden fiddle as opposed to something else. If so, why did he choose a golden fiddle?

Because the person with whom he wanted a competition with was a fiddler. It was a fiddling competition. The other person wouldn't bother competing with the devil over his soul if the prize was a golden flute.
