What are DirectLink URLs?

'Direct Link' URLs are typically an option in blogs and news pages to link to a specific article or post and nothing else.
For instance, if you were to go to a webpage and the first post on the webpage was something interesting that you wanted to share or save/bookmark for later: if you were to bookmark this page or send someone a link to it, when they visit the page later, whatever the most recent post is will appear and this may not be the one you were trying to send/save.
On the other hand, if you click or copy the direct link, then that would connect you to a page for just that post and only that post. Whenever you visit that bookmark or someone clicks on that link, it will go to just that article, no matter if there are any that have been written later. In other words, you can go to that article "Directly" by clicking the "Link".

It is an URL which links directly to something, such as a picture, a document, or a specific web page on a website for example.
