What's the difference between Ford F150 STX & XLT?

They are trim levels mainly, but the 5.4L is not available with the STX and some interior features on the XLT are not available on the STX. The XLT has more standard equipment that the STX, like power windows/locks and keyless entry.

Basically the XLT is a step above the STX in the F-150 hierarchy. It goes something like this The basic model is the XL, then the next step up is the STX, then comes the XLT, the Lariat, then the FX4, then the King Ranch, and the top model is the Platinum. There's the Raptor as well, but it's basically it's own model since it has so many Raptor-specific parts.

Rims, tires, decals on the box sides, the ride height is slightly higher on the FX4, it has factory Rancho shocks and skid plates. Other then that any of the creature comforts on the XLT are available on the FX4 and you can get the skip plate on the XLT as optional equipment.

just like otto said just body trim and maybe a different paint job and custom wheels and maybe the motor is beefed up ,but other that that it's your basic ford f-150

They are packages XLTs are usually loaded loaded up nicely and the FX4 is like GMs z71 its just plates for protection.

They are just trim packages. The basic truck is the same.
