What do feminists think of a man who...?

What do feminists think of a man who washes his clothes in the bath tub rather than buying his wife another clothes washer?

Update:

So far, only one comes close to answering the question. Is there not enough information to have a thought about the man? If not, then what assumptions might be made about the man? For that matter, what do non-feminists think of the man?

Update 2:

I would like a larger group of answers, but I think I see a few I like. All current opinions are valid considering the assumptions and the lack of solid facts.

Well I hope it would be temporary because who has the time to do that all the time, and they won't always rinse out the best that way.

If she's working, then she can contribute to buying a new one.

EDIT: I'd think the man was cheap and/or impractical about time and effort put into chores to be honest. But he might also be into saving electricity and/or takes pleasure in doing things himself. Her financial standing or desires would come into play, though. Why isn't she buying one?

It's a hard way to go through life, washing your clothes in a bathtub. I've had to do that myself for a long time. I can't really pass judgment on the man because I don't know what his financial situation is. If he is well off and still won't buy a washer,he's a chode but at least he's considerate enough to wash his own clothes in the tub instead of making his wife do it.

    Non-feminist.

If he wants to wash his clothes in the bathtub, go for it.

Or are you saying he insists his wife wash his clothes in a bathtub rather than buy another washer?

As a feminist, I'm appalled at the amount of control this man exerts over his family, frankly. And appalled that the wife in question seemingly goes along with this. It's a horribel relationship, if you ask me (and you did).

I have done that many times when I needed clean clothes but did not have a washing machine. What is wrong with wearing clean clothes?

I'd wonder why he didn't buy himself a washer.

Of course, it's nice that he does it himself...doing laundry in a bathtub is no fun.

I wonder how he'd feel if she bought one herself.
