Suggestions for a detailed winter cycling training program?

I live near Chicago and have gotten into cycling relatively seriously over the last year or so. I'm hoping to work really hard during the winter, come back in the spring, and finish decently in some crits. Anyway, I hope to keep riding outside until I absolutely can't anymore (when snow and ice hits) around late November/early December. We'll probably have snow and ice until early March. Can anyone recommend a DETAILED (i.e. day-by-day) training plan for cyclists during these months? I'm looking for a plan that tells me exactly what to do every day--something that will make me faster and stronger for next year's crits. Any input or links would be appreciated! Thanks :)

A friend of mine is a short track speed skater. Every spring, he is in better shape than he was at the end of the previous summer, and it is very painful to ride with him. Try to find a club to join. If you want a detailed program, maybe you should look into finding a coach. A good coach will assess you and give you a program based on your personal strengths. Without being able to know exactly where you are now, anything you will get here will be pure guesswork

Get a trainer to put your bike on. You can also cross train with swimming, running, cross country skiing, ice skating etc. You can do some weight training for your legs and core. You have to figure out what works best for you. I do two 45-60 min sesions on the trainer almost every day.
