Question about Eminem (this is not a rant nor am i a Stan at all)?

It's because he went pop (especially after the Eminem Show, although i thought that was a pretty good album but the rest of his albums kinda sucked, and Recovery was terrible). And race might be one of the reasons why ppl like him so much. But it might also be because of his "Stans" and radio promotion And kids (of my age especially) are very prone to artists that are promoted on the radio. If Eminem wasnt promoted by the radio and mainstream media, then it would not have achieved its current popularity or high sales. and thats the truth. Most kids will only listen to whats popular, no matter if its actually good or not.

First of all, eminem used to be underground, so us underground listeners still have respect for him. He's also one of the few mainstream artists out there that are keepin hip hop real. He's not a " goat" because he's white, its just that he has his own unique style, something no other rapper has. His storytelling skills and pick up lines are too great to be ignored, that's why he's no doubt, one of the top five rappers in the history of hip hop.

Have you really listened to the words he is saying?? He's a story teller, rappin' about his Real life. He ain't no poser...Have you really listened to his flow?? His flow is Sick! The way his mind works and the way he rhymes words together...He is a Genius! For not finishing 9th grade have you really listened to the vocabulary that he's got. He is original. Not that same old repetitive **** about money and diamonds. I may be biased, but I love his voice and how he can sing his own choruses...He also is a comedian and has a real funny side. He is just very deep you really have to listen to him the and the words he's spittin' in the flow that he got! No one holds a candle to him...Lyrically and flow he is just a step above everybody else, sorry...He's the king all these others are just rookies.

I bet you anything your class has like 2 or 3 kids that aren't white.

I think Distance means MTV type mainstream, where they ply their music vids once a day.

Well something like this. Eminem is the only mainstream rapper that like...actually has a flow.

Honestly, a lot of it does have to do with his race. People tend to like the minority more and in rap music white is the minority.
