How do you reset an ipod if the hold switch is broken?

Usually when my ipod nano (I still have the 2nd generation one) screen freezes, I toggle the hold switch on the top and then hold down the top and middle of the clicker wheel until the apple shows up on the screen and the ipod resets. But last week I dropped my ipod and the hold switch broke, it's not repairable (I tried). My ipod is working fine now, I just can't use the hold switch. But I was wondering if the ipod freezes again, how am I going to reset it?

If it freezes again you probably won't be able to reset it....period. Time to get a new ipod.
