Are world rankings a joke?

dont take it serious, we all know england aint the 6th best team in the world, they are actually ranked with france & italy during the WC but the only difference is, is that england had an easier group

It's because England have only lost 11 competetive games in the last 10 years. In the group stages they won 9/10, by 2-3+ goals virtually every game.

Higher England is ranked, the better for me. Because I know they choke and hype big time and each time they fail, I laugh at them. So if you are a English fan - word of caution, take them with a pinch of salt.

FIFA has their own way of ranking them based and I believe they have described them clearly. Yeah at the outset they do not make sense, but if one reads the rules of ranking, then it will.
