If you like someone the best way to ask that person is face to face. Going through friends is very childish (even if you are young) and friends can distort meaning. Texting is lame. You should ask by asking the question "what do you think of me?" if that is what you want to know. If you want to know something else like does she like you, think you're the next best thing to cookies, then you ask that. Whatever it is you would like to know, the only way to know is asking--straight up! Then there is no miscommunications or wrong intents.

It depends on how close you are to her. For example, are you friends?if so, just ask her face to face. If not, I would go with the text. However, remember anything that you put in writing is out there maybe forever. Therefore, choose your words wisely. Good Luck!
