can i raise my gpa this year?
ok so my gpa is sooo low. i'm not dumb or stupid the reason its low is because the past 2 years i've basically missed at LEAST one quarter due to papillary necrosis a kind of kidney disease. my midterms and finals are never lower than a C and most are B's. BUT that doesn't help much. Its my senior year and so far I look good for this year and probably won't be missing any school anymore. but is there anyway I could possible raise my gpa and go to a nice college without transferring from community college?
for those wondering my gpa is about 1.3

Woah. I'm not going to lie, that's seriously low for a GPA, but try TRY to get keep up the good grades and see if its possible to get 2.0 at the very least. You can calculate this by counting all your As as 4 points, Bs as 3 points, and Cs as 2 points (and I suppose Ds as 1 point, but I'm not sure) for each of the classes you've taken in high school. Add up all your points then divide by the number of classes that you've taken. That should give you your GPA.
There's a section on every application for people like you where colleges ask if there is anything else about you that they should know. You should definitely go into detail about your disease.
Also, makes sure your SAT or ACT score is high. A high SAT or ACT score combined with a low GPA will raise the eyebrows of college admission boards and make them look into your application rather than discarding it right away because your gpa is too low.
Good luck!

go to the low classes
for example
ur now on ur last year
every day if ur done with youre class
go and ask a teacher if you may sit in his class [a lower class or higher]
you will learn something etc. every day
if you put time in it you will pass it easily just as i did :D
