which will melt faster an ice cube in open container or an ice cube in closed container?
help it s a simple 5th grade experiment but i dont want to send it wrong i did it and answer was closed one melted slower juat a little bit slower is it true and why????

It will melt slower in a closed container because the cold air is "contained". If the container were open, the hotter air would melt the ice cube.
Think about it this way. If your power goes out, you don't open your refrigerator, correct? If you do, you will let the cold air out, and your food wont stay cold. If you keep it closed, your food will stay colder longer. get it?

Yes becuase the cold gets trapped in, and no heat can get in so it goes slower.
