Streaming Netflix: Wii vs. Roku 10pts!?
I want to get a streaming device for my Netflix.
The Roku is $60. The Wii is like $200. The bonus with the Wii is that I can obviously play games with it but, I don't know if I'd play it enough to justify the extra $140.
I know it's a matter of opinion, I'd like to hear some!
Do you have either one of those that you use to stream, and how do you like it? Also, can the Roku do anything else? Thank you!

If you are not one to play video games in the first place don't bank on getting your money's worth for more bang for your buck with the Nintendo Wii. If you have a child or children or grandchildren they will have something to do at grandma's house. If you want a streaming device and that is your main purpose, then Roku. It only streams video. It has a good reputation for being simple and user friendly with excellent video.
I am one of those parents whose child had to have the Nintendo Wii for Christmas. If not Christmas would never be the same ever! She watches movies on it all the time, never does she play with the games. Suite Life with Zack and Cody over and over and over again. It is a funny show. I have digressed. lol. Picture on the Wii is at 720p resolution, more like 480p, but it doesn't make you think the picture is not sharp as it could be. Roku is going to give you better video resolution.
Best.

I have a Wii and an Xbox. Our Wii only gets used for Netflix, but the Xbox gets used all the time. Roku sounds like a good option for only $60.
