Abusive priests -- which do you prefer?
Which do you prefer -- that the Vatican allow individual bishops to completely deal with abusive priests at the diocesan level, or that the Vatican require these cases be forwarded to them?
I ask because many people seem dissatisfied either way. They complain about lack of action on the part of the Vatican before 2001 (when John Paul II changed Church law to require that cases be forwarded to the Vatican), but they also object to the Vatican claiming jurisdiction in 2001.

The cases are not properly dealt with either way. Any priests suspected of abuse should be dealt with by the police, not the church.

abusive priests deserve to be punished on earth and in hell, if they like to molest kids, they should quit n be a full time molester. Imagine church being polluted by sexual lusts.
