  • Can I continue receiving Jobseekers Allowance while studying?

I have been on JSA for a month and have decided to go on a course to help my chances at finding work. I am having to take a loan from a family member as I cannot afford it myself.

The course is 2 days a week 9am-6pm for 4 and a half months, so works out as 16 hours a week plus lunch breaks.

The job centre have said I must sign off even though I am intending to continue to search for work that fits around my course, as 16 hours a week is considered full time education.

    Is this correct?

  • Short notice change to working hours?

I received a text message on sunday morning from another employee at work stating that our manager has told us that we have to be in work 2 hours earlier the following morning, is this allowed? Surely i should be given more notice, and my manager should actually contact me himself?

  • Always tired and get lightheaded and forgetful?

I've been feeling very tired for the past couple of months and have had almost daily bouts of lightheadedness. Several times it's actually become difficult to lift my head and I almost pass out. I find it very difficult to concentrate on my work and lose track of conversations very quickly as I completely forget what has just been said. I have had blood tests, thyroid is fine, blood pressure is normal, not anaemic, blood sugar is fine.

These are symptoms I've had before which disappeared for a year but have now come back. My diet has remained fairly consistent throughout. Any ideas anyone? My GP has been pretty useless.
