Joint banking accounts?
I have a joint banking account with an ex girlfriend. Her card was cancelled and she hasn't used account in 7 months. if she were to go to bank and take out what I have in the bank, can I do anything about it?

It's a joint account
She has as much right to take out the money as you do
This is why you don't get a joint bank account or buy cars or property with a g/f. Wait til you are married to do that stuff.

Nope nothing you can do...This is why you should jointly close the account or start a new separate account and trasnfer the money over.

It's a joint acct. which means that either one of you can withdraw from it, but it also means either one can close it. Go ahead and close it before she cleans you out. Then open up an acct. with just your name on it. Good luck!!!
