Please help: electric strike intermittently jams unlocked?
...when you buzz someone in, sometimes the strike stays unlocked until you buzz again a few times, then it goes back to normal operation. do I need a new strike, or is it a problem with voltage (fluctuating)?

Call a qualified service center this could be any of several problems depending on the system design. If there is a timer on the circuit it could be faulty, the release switch may be working and not releasing the circuit, the wiring could be shorted, just too many possibilities for a good analysis on line. Call a qualified, experienced professional to do the work.

sounds like a wiring issue, and is in the fail-safe, not fail-secure. find out who installed it and see if it is still under warranty. if it is, they should come check it out. if not, most locksmiths should be able to fix it. it could just simply be a bad solenoid.
then again it could just be a dirt build up. is this an exterior application?
