How do I remove limewire from my Mac?
I downloaded limewire just so i could find some EP stuff by Attack Attack!, and I got it, now I want to get rid of it. I'm running Mac OS10.6 (Snow Leopard), and I put it in the trashcan, and when I try to empty the trashcan it says "The operation can’t be completed because the item “LimeWire.icns” is in use." I can't figure out how to get rid of it, and i really want to! Please help. Thanks.

Ok am not a Mac wiz so sorry if my answer seems a little erm rubbish but,
If mac has some sort of a Task Manager that shows what programs are running then you need to open that up and find Limewire then end that task
Or if its not there then look under services, or you could just google how to remove limewire on mac Snow leopard

The only problem with programs like limewire they love to run themselves when you computer starts up... damn it xD

hi, its not unlawful in any respect, u r loose to get carry of and deploy it. what's prohibited however is downloading pirated music and video clips from it, in any different case its completely criminal. to do away with it if u prefer open your purposes folder in limewire and then drag limewire in to the trash can. Take care!

Well If its in use, then you could try rebooting then uninstall the program.
I think maybe when you closed lime wire It could of been just moved to the background.
