Safe to eat? Yes. Good? only thawing and cooking will tell you that.

Wow Perry, you are awesome at restating a previous answer but making it longer so it somehow seems more relevant...WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As others have said, perfectly safe.

I once found a massive rib of beef that had been overlooked for goodness knows how long in the bottom of an elderly relative's freezer. I thawed it out thinking that I could cook it up for the dogs at least but it looked in good condition so I went ahead and roasted it. It turned out to be one of the best bits of beef I'd ever eaten so my advice would be to thaw it out and cook it, then judge it by the taste. If it turns out to be no good you won't have lost anymore than if you bin it now but if it's ok you'll have gained a dinner!

It is completely safe to eat, but i can guarantee you, unless it is vacuum packed, even if there is no visible freezer burn it will still taste like the inside of your freezer. My rule of thumb is maximum time you can keep something frozen that isn't vacuum-packed is 6 months
