Check out the ep with the Dog Whisperer. The dog whisperer was actually able to train Cartman into behaving, until his mother went back to her child-spoiling ways. It showed that the reason Cartman is terrible is that his mom is lonely and pathetic. She gives Eric everything he wants so he will be her friend and companion.

I probably wouldn't spoi lhim in the first place and take away his games consoles and tv and what not as punishment
