Brahma is the creator god. His wife is Sarasvati, the goddess of learning and music, and he's worshipped in a few places, but he's not especially popular.
Brahman is the term in philosophical Hinduism (like Advaita Vedanta) for the Ultimate, that abstract Source beyond all names and attributes, of which the gods (Shiva, Vishnu, Ganesha, Kali, Brahma, etc) are just different faces.
The goal of Advaita Vedanta is the realization that there is nothing but Brahman, and that each person's individual soul (atman) is just a speck of Brahman. That realization creates moksha, release from samsara, the cycle of birth and death.
