okay..just lately. a couple of weeks maybe 3 weeks ago i've notice some of my hair is falling out during brushing, shampoing, combing... i'm male 17 y/o asian(filipino to be exact). last month ive been using hairspray and ironing my hair everyday to style it what bad is i don't wash it before bedtime because i'm lazy to do it. i also been dying my hair since last year every 3 to 2 months. lately before i started my hair fall, me and my friends were talking about balding and falling hair. i cannot get over to that topic i always thinking i'm going to be bald so i was scared...after that time i've notice a slight increase in my hair fall. since i dyed my hair i notice a few of my hair doesn't grew out because they don't have a black root and they were easily to pull and some of them was falling out. i don't notice a significant amount of hair falling though. i also don't notice a hair on my pillow when i woke up. my hair is fine because of the styling i've done and coloring but the number of hair i think is still in normal amount. what is the cause of my hair fall? can anyone please help me out? i don't want to go bald? are all the hair that falls out will grow back again?

What cause specific types of hair loss
Many people may meet this common problem -- bald . Everyone knows it's caused by many reasons . Here are some common reasons of hair loss.
Pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia).
In male- and female-pattern baldness, the time of growth shortens, and the hairs are not as thick or sturdy. With each growth cycle, the hairs become rooted more superficially and more easily fall out. Heredity likely plays a key role. A history of androgenetic alopecia on either side of your family increases your risk of balding. Heredity also affects the age at which you begin to lose hair and the developmental speed, pattern and extent of your baldness.
Cicatricial (scarring) alopecia.
This type of permanent hair loss occurs when inflammation damages and scars the hair follicle. This prevents new hair from growing. This condition can be seen in several skin conditions, including lupus erythematosus or lichen planus. It's not known what triggers or causes this inflammation.
Alopecia areata.
This is classified as an autoimmune disease, but the cause is unknown. People who develop alopecia areata are generally in good health. A few people may have other autoimmune disorders, including thyroid disease. Some scientists believe that some people are genetically predisposed to develop alopecia areata and that a trigger, such as a virus or something else in the environment, sets off the condition. A family history of alopecia areata makes you more likely to develop it. With alopecia areata, your hair generally grows back, but you may lose and regrow your hair a number of times.
Telogen effluvium.
This type of hair loss is usually due to a change in your normal hair cycle. It may occur when some type of shock to your system emotional or physical causes hair roots to be pushed prematurely into the resting state. The affected growing hairs from these hair roots fall out. In a month or two, the hair follicles become active again and new hair starts to grow. Telogen effluvium may follow emotional distress, such as a death in the family or a physiological stress, such as a high fever, sudden or excessive weight loss, extreme diets, nutritional deficiencies, surgery, or metabolic disturbances. Hair typically grows back once the condition that caused it corrects itself, but it usually take months.
Traction alopecia.
Excessive hairstyling or hairstyles that pull your hair too tightly cause traction alopecia. If the pulling is stopped before there's scarring of your scalp and permanent damage to the root, hair usually grows back normally.

I went to the best cosmetology school in my state and this is what i've learned. fist the normal amount of hair loss per day should be 40-100 strands. And coloring you hair often and using a flat iron aren't that good for your hair. its not bad to flat iron a lot just use a heat protectant product and minimal tension and minimal heat. do not turn your heating tools up all the way. it will melt the cortex, middle layer of the hair shaft, and weaken it. do not comb ur hair with a brush when it is wet. us a wide tooth comb instead. if you have dry or damaged hair the brush with actually pull out your hair or cause the ends to break. to make your hair a little bit healthier and stronger you may want to lay off the styling tools and color for a couple months and go in for monthly hair trims. also it sound like you hair need protein. the hair its self is mainly made up of protein. so get a conditioner or mask from a beauty supply store with protein us it once a week. dont over use it too much protein is bad for you hair.
the other cause to you hair loss is the hair goes through a phase called the telogen phase. its completely normal its just part of its cycle. this is where the hair falls out from the follicle. After this the Anagen stage starts and the hair will begin to grow again. if this is the cause there's nothing to worry about. But if you have alot of stress that could be a cause. or an illness.
to me it just sounds like you need to lay off the coloring and heat styling and give your hair moisture and protein.

no, No, NO! Haircoloring Will Not Cause You To Go Bald Or White Haired Prematurely, Believe Me, If It Did. I Would Have A Lot Of White Haired, Balding Friends-Some Of Whom Have Been Coloring, Perming, Bleaching, Highlighting And Relaxing Their Hair Almost Every Week For The Last 25+ Years. - Sorry, Mom.

Hair loss is heriditary on your mom's side. Did her father or her brothers hair fall out early?
Dying your hair every 2-3 months isn't a good idea. Keep in mind that you are ironing your hair everyday which significantly damages hair especially if you aren't using a heat protectant before. How is the health of your fingernails?
Are you feeling sick?
I'd go see a doctor if you think it's serious to put your mind at ease.
we lose 100-400 hairs each day and more in the warm months.
