Is the EU a corrupt waste of time?
This video just about sums it up... http://www.davidicke.com/headlines/38679-down-with...
War! we are in an economic war that threatens the very fabric of all our societys.
It wasnt created to stop war but to centralise power on a purly economic basis. And look at it now!
The Daily Mail says its true, the Telegraph say it isnt...
This is another problem, our media does not report the whole truth. And even outright deciet.
"There are no hostilities between EU members". With all due respect, your funny.

Whilst we are happy to trade with our European neighbours, we are keen to see the UK trade globally, too. As China and India boom, it would be foolish to restrict ourselves to trading only with the continent. Like it or not, Europe is not going to be as important in the future as it has been previously. There is a clear opportunity for the UK to take advantage of the economic opportunities currently on the horizon, and missing out on those opportunities can only cost us jobs and income. Membership of the EU, which restricts trade with the outside world, severely threatens that positive future

Since the Common Market (EEC) was formed to prevent war between European nations I don't think so.
There are no hostilities between EU members.
Economic cooperation exists between member states. Ok, so point to the declarations of these hostilities. Bigots in all countries hate foreigners but that is not the same as a declaration by the state.
Insulting me is not much use in an argument about facts. If you disagree then use facts to prove me wrong. It's simple strategy that works every time.
And the story about flags is not true.
There is little attribution to the story on both sides. But Eric Pickles has been looking into how ERDF cash is managed and distributed in order to prevent future multi-million pound fines from Brussels. (Department for Communities and Local Government accounts, published in July revealed that the department faces fines of £155 million for failures in administering ERDF funding.)
But I see no quotation from him or anyone else that suggests it has anything to do with flags. Yes, the Daily Mail is a bad newspaper that publishes unattributed stories to make its readership angry. I suppose some people like feeling angry - perhaps it makes them feel alive!
If the Daily Mail was writing the truth then vitamins would be banned by the EU!
For Christ sake do a bit of real research. Read a book maybe - one without any pictures. David Icke is a self-serving self-publicising writer of nonsense books; conspiracy theories based on nothing.

Yes, the accounts for the EU have not been approved for years because of widespread fraud, any private company in the same situation would have gone bust years ago. If we left the EU it would save this country billions. Trade would continue but we would lose the red tape and petty control from foreigners. By the way, NATO stopped the wars in Europe not the EU/Common Market. Just remember that no one has been asked since the early 1970's whether they still want to be a member of the EU. The politicians are afraid to ask the question because they know there is a strong possibility that the public would vote to leave. In the early 70's the country was asked if it wanted to belong to a Common Market, nothing about belonging to a United States of Europe. Ted Heath to his exernal shame lied to the British people, something he later, I believe, admitted to.

Yes it is true don't use the Daily mail as a fact bible its not. The Eurocrats are however very corrupt and really in it for them selves. The problem is the EU is not what it should be. It should always of been about becoming a trading block and collectively Projecting power but now they want the United States of Europe which will be as rotten as the American version.

David Icke is nuts, but aside from that the EU is a waste of time corrupt and out to look after it's own major players. That's why France can expel some Roma and stop any more getting in via illegal means but if Ireland or Britain tried it there would be uproar from the EU. If we're all in the same heap of crap then we should all suffer the same. But it seems some countries within the EU are more elite and can quite rightly put their own people first.

When I was at school we were taught that the EU was a trade organisation with no aims to form a united states of europe I now believe it was set up to assuage the guilt of the french over their poor performance in the war and to get the germans back into the human race

Hi Neilbo... Is the E.U. corrupt ? Yes... but so is every other Nation State on this Planet in many and varied, devious ways. (that includes specifically the U.S. of A.)
Is that sufficient justification to label the E.U. a 'waste of time' ? No, it decidedly is NOT. Maintaining involvement is nigh unto compulsory. Getting and staying 'OUT of the LOOP' is not only foolish but potentially DANGEROUS for World Peace.

They are corrupt as shown by their treatment of Marta Andreasen.
She was an EU auditor who refused to be bullied into signing off the EU accounts.
Read and be amazed!

I think most conspiracy theorists have more than a few screws loose. I don't know who this guy was in the first video but clearly he isn't playing with a full deck.
Just my opinion.
