Rally? Who else does it?

So I might get my dog into this and was wondering who else does it? What have your experiences been like?

Update:

Bobbie L: Well then it's a good thing I didn't ask for your opinion on the sport.

Update 2:

Sorry, what does CD stand for?

I do CARO Rally and CKC Rally I like CARO best as it has more advanced exercises. I think Rally is a great place to start and sta,y formal obedience unless you get to the top level is rather boring since it is always the same.

It is great for the lay person, or if you are not quite to the point in training where you can go through the CD trial without reinforcing or reminding your dog. You can also re-do signs, and in obedience there are no re-do's!

A lot of the stations, or signs, are moves that you will use in obedience trials.

For me personally, I wouldget a CD first, Then move straight to Rally advanced, becuase the exercises are more simple, and I don't like the idea of competing if I am still talking to my dog a lot, and I am waaay too tempted to in Rally--so I stay away from it until I get some obedience titles first.

If you have never competed before, though, I would say go for it--it is pretty easy if your dog is trained and does well in a busy (dog show) environment.
