At the beginning of each chapter or section in your textbook, there should be objectives. Make sure you know these objectives and you are prepared to apply them to the test.
Really, the best way to study for math is to do practice problems over and over again. When you've done about 10-15 problems from each section, check your answers (usually textbooks might have a "selected answers" section in the back) and identify any errors you make.
