I need to find a place to repair my ipod!?

I have a second gen Ipod touch 16GB that has been submerged in water accidentally. Apparently walmart doesnt have to honor the warranty i purchased and told me they will not pay to have it fixed. I looked into apple repairing it, but they want $155 and will actually keep my ipod and send me a different one. I am not too sentimental of a guy, but i took this ipod to iraq with me and i like it, so i want to keep it and would rather have it fixed then replaced. The company walmart uses to repair their electronics wants close to $200 to repair it.

Here is the question, I did a little Yahoo research and see that some companies offer repair for like $30. Which of these are genuine and which are just schemes to steal an ipod?

Has anyone actually had an ipod repaired and how much did you pay?

Any recommendations for an ipod repair center that wont charge and arm and a leg or steal my goods?

    Hello,

My name is Anthony and I own the Ipod touch repair shop milliamp.com. We have been around for over five years now, and if anyone can figure out what is wrong with your device and repair it, it would be us. We offer an evaluation service where we can take a look and see what is wrong with your device, what parts are needed, and then discuss this with you before proceeding. Just be forewarned that, with water damage, sometimes a device can appear repaired, but later other issues surface. I will place a link below where you can learn more about my company and our repair evaluation service for Apple's iPod touch!

P.S. We get devices in from Canada (and all over the world) all the time, so please do not let our being US-based discourage you.

    Hope that helps,

    Anthony Magnabosco, Owner
