Dusty barn aisleway in need of flooring?
My barn has a dirt floor in the aisleway, it stays extremely dusty. Does anyone know something that would make good flooring to cut the dust? I can't afford to put concrete down yet, i have thought of putting shavings but they would eventually get dusty too.
Thanks
This would be a 12'x40' area

Non slip mats would be the best, but they are expensive. You can get ag lime and compact it down to get an absorbant and firm surface. Everyone around here uses it. I have it in my run in shed and it is a good surface. I excavated 3 feet down first and layered large to smaller rock and topped it with a foot of ag lime and machine compacted it, and it drains beautifully with no odors.

Sprinkle some water on the floor and that will help to keep the dust down.

Rubber stall mats fitted together in a tight fit. You can cut them down to the size you need. Even the mats you put in your trailer would work.

They spray calcium chloride on gravel roads near houses to cut the dust. I wonder if that would work in your instance. Google it.
