WW2 Nazi Germany.............who sided...............?

People say that Arabs were on the same side as the Nazis during WW2. If history serves me correctly, that during this period, Jews were being prosecuted in EUROPE - specifically in Germany, Poland, Austria etc. So those Jews who could, fled to live in Palestine.

Now surely, you dont run towards a country full people who are trying to kill you.

Secondly, Arabs were promised the 'Holy Land' by the British in return for their help against Nazi Germany which they did (Lawrence of Arabia).

So why are people today accusing Arabs of siding with Nazi Germany? does this lie try to justify the killings of Palestinians/ Arabs today?

Update:

rpe: i know my history - Palestine was around even when the Romans were here - they called it Philistine.

Get your FACTS clear before challenging anyone

The Grand Mufti Haj Amin Al Husseini - an important arab leader and founder of Palestinian nationalism spent the war years in Berlin as a guest of Himmler makingpropaganda for the Nazisand even recruited a muslim SS division.

The British under Lawrence of Arabia actually supported arab nationalism in the First world war when the Germans wer led by the Kaiser and not Hitler- this was in order to defeat the Ottoman Empire which had sided with Germany.

The word Palestine is actually pronouced Falastin in arabic or Philistine. The Philistines weren't arabic but from Greek Islands. The Romans only renamed the country Palstine Syria after they defeated Judea as the country was formally known. The Romans then renamed the country after the hebrews former enemies the Philistines as a sign of contempt. The Arab invasion didn;t take place until 800 years later.

The Nazis did spend quite a bit of time trying to get the arabs on their side by playing on their hatred of the Jews. Some did fight for Nazi Germany. Does it justify killing Palestinians today? No. Suicide bombings, rockets fired on residential areas and the constant hatred and threats of annihilation pouring out of the arab world cause that. The Iranian president's Holocaust denial doesn't help much, either.

Check out the career of the Mufti of Jerusalem:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Amin_al-Husa...

He is credited by some of giving the Nazis the idea for the Final Solution and advocated the massacre of the Jews in Palestine. He is also alleged to have met with Adolf Eichmann in Palestine in 1937.

The Nazis, by the way, were the Second World War not the First.

Here you will find a step by step guide which will hopefully give you a better and deeper insight into how it is possible for you to make money from Binary Options trading https://tr.im/kZVHk

You will first need to know what exactly Binary Options trading is, whilst this may seem like common sense many people just have a vague idea of what is involved and the exact risks attached to any trade, so make sure you fully understand the difference for example between actually buying a fixed asset and trading in Binary Options as the two could not be more different.

Next you will need to become something of an investigative journalist when you start trading in Binary Options and by this we mean you need to have a nose for a news story that is going to have a dramatic effect on whatever it is you intend to trade, and one way for you to do this is to keep fully abreast of all the daily financial news stories as this is the only way you are going to be able to make an informed decision on the movement of any Binary Options you are trading.

You forget that the term 'Arab' encompasses many of the middle eastern peoples. Look at Egypt, what is now Iraq, Iran, Kuwait & Saudi Arabia.

Many of the Arab peoples were willing to side with Naziism just to get rid of the British, French and other colonial powers. As for Palestine, well that state didn't exist as such until after 1945, but was in fact the collective term for the area now occupied by the states of Palestine & Israel.

The jewish refugeesfled to 'Palestine' as it was controlled by the British who were able to offer shelter and ultimately resettlement.

It also has to be remembered that Arabs are predominantly Muslim. Perhaps you forgot this.

North African Arabs were on the side of Allies as Italy had forcibly captured Ethiopia they fought alongside the British and the US forces to liberate the area..

Lawrence of Arabia was there before Hitler came to power. He organized Arabs to fight against the Ottoman empire.

By a far majority Muslims were either on the side of Allies or stayed neutral. Arab nations (Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt etc.) and Iran supported allied war efforts. They allowed transport facilities as well as their oil to the allies and denied them to the Germans and Japanese. Similarly a very large number of Indian Muslims got recruited in the British armed forces fought gallantly. Two even won the Victoria Cross.

The grand Mufi of Palestine did meet Hitler , as did a lot of Western politicians and Christian clergymen. He was rightly apprehensive that England and few others were secretly trying to carve a homeland for the Jews in Palestine, much before Hitler had started to persecute them.

took the Money and Honored the Agreement

the USA never did anything to stop him whilst the UK was Trying Appeasement

Hitler took all this as approval and of he went

America with the collusion of the vice-chairman of the U.S. War Production Board in partnership with Göring's cousin in Philadelphia when American forces were desperately short of them? Or that such arrangements were known about in Washington and either sanctioned or deliberately ignored?

For the government did sanction dubious transactions—both before and after Pearl Harbor. A presidential edict, issued six days after December 7, 1941, actually set up the legislation whereby licensing arrangements for trading with the enemy could officially be granted.

Often during the years after Pearl Harbor the government permitted such trading. For example, ITT was allowed to continue its relations with the Axis and Japan until 1945, even though that conglomerate was regarded as an official instrument of United States Intelligence.

No attempt was made to prevent Ford from retaining its interests for the Germans in Occupied France, nor were the Chase Bank or the Morgan Bank expressly forbidden to keep open their branches in Occupied Paris. It is indicated that the Reichsbank and Nazi Ministry of Economics made promises to certain U.S. corporate leaders that their properties would not be injured after the Führer was victorious.

Thus, the bosses of the multinationals as we know them today had a six-spot on every side of the dice cube. Whichever side won the war, the powers that really ran nations would not be adversely affected.

And it is important to consider the size of American investments in Nazi Germany at the time of Pearl Harbor. These amounted to an estimated total of $475 million. Standard Oil of New Jersey had $120 million invested there; General Motors had $35 million; ITT had $30 million; and Ford had $17.5 million. Though it would have been more patriotic to have allowed Nazi Germany to confiscate these companies for the duration—to nationalize them or to absorb them into Hermann Göring's industrial empire—it was clearly more practical to insure them protection from seizure by allowing them to remain in special holding companies, the money accumulating until war's end. It is interesting that whereas there is no evidence of any serious attempt by Roosevelt to impeach the guilty in the United States,

reason FDR was afraid of Upsetting Corporate USA whose Cooperation was desperately needed to win the War in the Pacific

The Daily Mail, some members of The Royal Family and Oswald Mosley all championed Hitler's cause during the second world war.

Some arabs fought for the allies, some fought for the Axis.

Also, Lawrence of Arabia fought in WWI. There were no nazis to worry about then.

Palestine has a very complicated history. Before 1948 it was a British colony. If you know your history on Palestine, we'd all love to read about it. So, lets here about all this history you know. Many historians struggle with it, but you said "you know your history".
