English Literature - Tess of the D'Urbervilles?

Hi, I was wondering if any people knew of any essay style questions which could be used for a "coursework" style piece for Tess of the D'Urbervilles? Any ideas about the themes and ideologies etc. which could be explored in an essay question?

    Well maybe:

The view/situation of women in society ?

    "Right " against "wrong" ?

"Guilty" against "not guilty" ? which also leads to "Punishment/revenge" against "forgive" ?

Also the difference between social classes could be an issue : what it meant? the behavior and such?

Another major theme could be "Love" : the types of love ( Angel/Alec).

I think the first 3 deal with more serious subjects, so you could chose from there.

This were only a few question we had to discuss during the English Literature Class ( in college).

    Hope i helped :)
